I don't equate that myth with Vengeance. Ambition, maybe.

Possibly, but you'd have to create said myth yourself, the ones you quote don't do it. I'm not sure I like the idea...

Where the vengeance bit? She took a giant's head (the only head Vinga gets in any myth I've read... erm... could have phrased that better...) to prove herself a warrior. How is that a matter of vengeance?
