Possibly. But I think its probably a well known thing - just think of how many dramatic stories would revolve around a hero being revived and then turning into a Humakti or throwing himself into a fray against impossible odds, leaving his beloved and his people behind...

I prefer to think of death-sickness as becoming 'fey' in the old english sense of the word.
