Imagining Humakti

The character Kai from the sci-fi series Lexx might make a good template for Humakti.

He was originally from a very romantic, emotional culture. He died in a desperate bid to stop His Divine Shadow from destroying his world. Then HDS turns him into an indestructable undead assassin. He does that for about 8,000 years before somehow escaping His Shadow's influence and becoming one of the good guys.
