After twenty-odd years of occupation, the once fiercely-fought-for distinctions between Sartarite and Lunar are getting distinctly murky in places. A full generation of Heortling hostages have returned to their clans after being brai... err educated in the Lunar Way. Lunar veterans are retiring, and some chose to stay in the land that has become so familiar to them, settling on colonia on the tula edge of friendly or neutral clans. A generation of war children have grown to adulthood, rejected by both sides, full of fierce energy and anger and a lust for vengeance or destruction. Gagarth feasts on their anger. Intermarriage between Lunars and Sartarites is increasingly common, placing great pressure on the traditional Heortling marriage system. There are two economies, one official and one of night markets, bribes and hidden trade paths. The are two justice systems, and sometimes no justice at all, save the law of the scimitar.

All grist for your campaign mill.

John
