Well, once again to plug 'Uz', the Darksense section on p17 mentions 'seeing' round corners and the range of strange textures uz sense, while on p20 it mentions that it can be used to, for example, sense if someone's stompach is full, if a woman is pregnant, etc. An uz surgeon would be scary, but effective!
