And also serves the cause of tricksters tricking themselves, since if Eurmal grants a worshipper a divine companion penis, well then clearly it is NOT the trickster's own penis. It would get him into all the trouble his old one did, but he doesn't get to have the fun!
I believe there's a story (by Peter M?) about how Eurmal traded penises with Humakt, because Subere had caught Eurmal's naughty organ and twisted it into something that wasn't any fun. So Eurmal tried to trade with Grandfather Mortal with bad results. But Humakt thought he might find a way to use the twisted remnants of Eurmal's penis, and traded his for it.
