Lynx are raised on fur farms and kept as pets by people so it is possible
for humans to interact closely with them. The following site suggests that
when raised by humans they're not a lot different than house cats
temperament-wise.

Just to point out, lynx (and bobcats) are incredibly shy and difficult
to get near. =) Yes, I'm being difficult.
