I think the biggest variable here is the confidence and experience of the narrator, and that would really change my answer.

For the newish and or unconfident, Barbarian Adventures into Orlanth is Dead is the way to go. More than enough info at all levels, and enough actual material that you can be sure that there'll be more material out before you run out of written scenarios. If I started a BA game today, I could easily manage 2 years of real play from start to the Battle of Iceland.

If I was advising a more experienced GM, I'd reccomend something more like what I did before on this list. A brand new "blank land" ish kind of place where the setting lends itself to the Heroes AND the players matching in their lack of knowledge about the world. That way as the heroes find things out in game, the players do to. Keeps the narrator from having to assign homework to the players.
