Donandar the Bard

OK, I have this vision of Donandar that pretty much no-one else shares: the distributed networks version of a knowledge god.

This Donandar finds things out and tells people. That way, so long as someone knows the Truth, the Truth is not lost. His cult's secret is to enter a trance and utter a randomly True fact that his enemy would rather keep a secret, a Truth that everyone knows to be True because it's the god speaking, not just some harpist.

These Donandar bards turn up in the middle of a thunderstorm and get offered hospitality because the thanes are scared of what might be said if they offend. This is a bard with a little more of Taliesin than the conventional Donandar or Drogasi take. A bit dangerous, not just a musician.

Really this kind of magic calls for Devotees, not just Initiates. Thunder Rebels is pretty clear that this kind of Donandar-ite isn't native to Dragon Pass.

Does anyone have any opinions on where this kind of Donandar might come from? It doesn't feel solar/lunar - too primitive.
