Re: Masks and Ritual

My first thought is that is a heroforming ritual object, used to simplify the heroforming of a great and wilful ancestor. Of course, the other objects (the cloak, the belt, the spear, the cape...) were scattered when the original owners were burned out by the Uz Eat King's Cattle/First Chaos Breaking/Lunar reprisals of way back when.

Problem is of course, the mask channels the hero-ancestor's anger and rage as well as his magical potency. The other objects (which in the original ritual were donned first) channelled other aspects which led to a more balanced forming.

Using just the mask leads to some unpleasant, destructive imbalances.

Dry brain. Dry season.
