Storm Tribe is a sourcebook for the sartarites, but Humakt is worhiped far beyond Sartar, and even in several very different cultures. Therefore the writeup in Storm Tribe can't be considered definitive beyond it's explicit context.

Nevertheless, which parts of the writeup do you think aren't compatible with what I said above?
