There are specialist female Esrolian combat deities, like Voudisea the Lance Goddess, but also, of course, Vinga.

However, remember that while in Orlanthi society 'adventurous' is considered both a virtue and a masculine one at that (so V demonstrates that as part of her 'masculine powers'), it need not be so in Esrolia. Indeed, I think Esrolians would consider the greatest venture of all being the women's preparedness to say 'what if things were different?' and break with the masculne tradition. So although rather closer in their origins, I think a Heortling Vingan and an Esrolian one would consider the other a very strange person. The Esrolian Vingan would emphasise the defender side, as soldier, city watch or the like, while most Heortling Vingans are more 'actionadventurous,'  even in the fact that they fill a masculine role in society.
