Maybe the group could use the 'Elmal Guards the Stead' myth from Storm
Tribe (p. 56) - kind of hijack the deceased into his self-resurrection
quest as per the Secret of Elmal Hearthguard (p.53). They could summon
(with Summoning of Evil ritual) the chaos demons to test his soul and
maybe act as supporting clansfolk in the Great Darkness.
Of course, failing in this quest would mean that not only to the
Elmali staying dead but also that his soul would be eaten by chaos and
not get to its promised afterlife...
Anyway, this way the Elmali would have VERY active role and the others
could give support. No idea how the elves could fit in, though.
It IS stretching the idea of what you can do with heroquests, I think,
but it's an dramatic option and at least could work IMG.
