Checking the Wiki timetable, we *do* have rumours of the Bat's approach before it's seen. So (potentially), he finds out about it, heads to Whitewall with the news, and gets laughed at. After all, why should anyone take him seriously? There's no-one here who knows him and will act as a character witness, is there....?
