For those with an interest there are two "Roman" talks at the British Museum, oraginsed by The Friends (and sorry for the short notice on the first but they still have tickets cos I just booked mine).

2nd September. Robin Densem : 'The Romans in britain'. The Army and Military Sites and Nature of the Evidence, archaelogical, literarary etc.

25th November. Philip Matsyzak : ' Women Against Rome'. Cleopatra, Boudica and Zenobia.

Both start at 6:30 in the BM Clore Education Centre and both and �7.50. Contact the BM events office.
