Nope. ;) This is something I should have put in a post I just sent - Egyptian weapons were made of copper, and quite inefficient early on. Later, they started on bronze. Pictish weapons were made of bronze, and well-designed and attractive.

Neither of these has any real handling problems - almost no ancient metal handing was toxic to any real degree. Pretty well the only exceptions were lead and mercury, and even they were long term problems...
