It also may be whatever distributor they use causes the problems.

In the US, Alliance is the #1 distributor. But anything that they don't sell in a few months is sent back to the publisher or is sold cheaply - and no longer in stock. So when your FLGS calls them, they get told frequently "Oh, that's out of print..."

Annoying, huh?

Maybe if enough folks ask, there might be a reprint. If nothing else, many of the costs are already paid. Maybe with a B&W cover to cut costs? That seemed to work for Unspoken Word's reissue of Tarsh.
