Sorted. It's basic, it's incomplete, but you can stand on the site of Boldhome and see the top of Kero Fin beyond the Quivin peaks. Start here:

And yes, there is a dark cloud over the Skyfall Lake. Stand at Marshedge for a good view (I may have missed out an intervening mountain range).
