This is infact how I understood the CoT information anyway. A natural Godbeast, defeated and corrupted by chaos. I seem to recall it was said to have fought against chaos and lost, so it really didn't sound like it was just a regular 50 gram bat.

If you got the spell up powerful enough, you meight just manage to reduce it to an ordinary several ton Bat-godbeast. :)

Mononoke Hime is good inspiration on the animal gods, btw, and elven forests. (and, come to think of it, dwarf factories)
