Not sure that this is the best example, because there's doubtless a myth about Orlanth having to go to Kolat's Windy Place, where he was able to borrow the Backwards Wind. So yes, it's more difficult than visiting Barntar's Stead, but there is a path.

Traveling from Asrelia's Cave to Jackeel's Cave on the other hand would be much more difficult.
