Indeed. And I'm sure they realise this - that's why stuff like GRoY and Fortunate Succession are released as Works in Progress rather than given a full colour "professional" release.

I think the point that people were trying to make is this.

There were several people who criticised Hero Wars on a number of fronts, some justified (no index, poor layout) and some not (didn't contain the depth of material that had appeared in RQ supplements like Cults of Prax).

Thunder Rebels appears to answer both of these criticisms (I'll know for certain this afternoon when I get my copy), so people who were disappointed with the core rules on those lines should consider getting Thunder Rebels, not judge the entire line on the first product.

People who dislike the Hero Wars rules, but still like Glorantha (be it through RQ, Pendragon Pass, Gurps, Fudge or any other commercial or home grown system) should consider getting Thunder Rebels as it is the first real chance to see how the HW settings books will be able to integrate with their game.

People who dislike the Paperback format, are, admittedly probably stuck - If the book doesn't sell then Issaries won't have the money to issue it in a different format anyway - How about you buy a copy, then 2 or 3 copies of the Oriflam Translation ;)

No one should *have* to buy every book Issaries puts out, especially if the books are rubbish, and Issaries should be putting out books that all (~85%) of us want (That's just common business sense).

Ultimately the Consumers final sanction is to not buy the product if it is of no use to them, however it is more useful for all concerned, if you buy the book and thus can provide informed criticism and suggestions for improvement to ensure that future products are more in line with what you want/need/expect from the line.

(I am of the opinion that "as a paying customer I would rather see more of x" is a more useful opinion than "as someone who hasn't bought anything of yours since y, I think you should do z"...)
