I really like the idea of Jinxes. There may be Gloranthan philisophical problems with it (I don't know), but as a game idea, it's fun. Especially since common magic is so loose, it allows all sorts of accusations that someone is using "bits of chaos magic" whenever they do anything weird.

That would also mean that there should be elements of chaotic magic available within the common magic keyword since this seems to be made up of all magics. Lets call them Jinxes so the fringe worshipers get access to some jinxes and the promise of more powerful stuff once they are trusted etc.
