Entertainers in the Middle Ages

Pardon the diversion into French, but one medieval equivalent of the low entertainer among the Orlanthi was referred to as a "jongleur"... much like the folk you see juggling knives, doing pratfalls, engaging in mock duels, performing with puppets, etc. at Renaissance Fairs across the planet. Another was the "raconteur", who was to the poor folk what the troubador was to the nobility... a teller of stories and spinner of yarns.
