Hello all,

Pavic Tales 1-9, provided they are intact and not damaged, would probably fetch about $250 to $300 if sold as a set on ebay. Sold individually, some issues could go for Mike's estimate of around $40 or more, but others may not. Selling individual issues for something like this will probably not get you a higher total than selling them as a set. I've seen individual issues come up on Ebay every few months, but I don't think that one of every issue has been sold in the last 6 months. I don't track this sort of thing in a database or anything, so it's mainly anecdotal evidence I am referring to, and my somewhat fuzzy memory.

If sold individually, you will probably get a few people really bidding up a couple of the issues to complete their sets, while ignoring most of the other issues. Someone wanting the whole set will probably give up chasing the hotly contested issues and stop bidding altogether. Since this all deals with people's desires and feelings, I could be totally wrong on the psychology of why people will or will not bid.

One trend that is a little discouraging for sellers is that collectable prices for Runequest items have been declining lately, at least as an aggregate. Ultra rare or unique items being an exception.

As always, with Ebay you may end up with a big windfall or a small disappointment, depending on your expectations. I haven't had anyone specifically ask me to find this set for them recently, so I don't know of a private buyer at the moment.

One option is to have potential buyers privately email you with offers for the next couple of weeks, and then if you don't get a high enough price you can put them on Ebay.

For the ebay listing you are welcome to use descriptive info from my glorantha.info site, plus you need to take a good picture of the set. If possible, offer to ship worldwide and accept paypal payments.

Good luck,
Rick
