I'm really sorry, but IMO this complete non-sense. It is a game set in a fictional world with a rich (also fictional) mythology. "Straight down the line historical realism" is just not an option. It would no longer be Glorantha is we we down the historical realism line.

What you might be arguing for is closer modeling on RW analogs. I for one would _hate_ to see this. The best the Glorantha can hope for is a fairly high degree of shared internal consistency.

Personally, I like the flawed balance between egalitarianism and social cohesion that TR presents. I think it is a mistake to read too much into a set of game rules and background.
