My experience (for what it is worth) is that my FLGS does carry
Glorantha products, but generally only because people like me special
order them. The store then gets an extra copy or two to put on their
shelves. This would be great, except that it is all but impossible to
actually special order anything from them. I have a standing "get me
anything Gloranthan" order, and the owner is familiar with Glorantha,
but the stuff hardly ever actually shows up. That includes both Moon
Design and Mongoose products. The result of this is that when a book
comes out I may wait many months before giving up and buying a copy
elsewhere. The owner blames this on his distributors, although I have
my doubts. Anyway, from my end of things the FLGS is looking a bit
like an idea whose time has passed.
As for the PDFs, I do like them if they are searchable, etc. I prefer
print copies, though. Generally, I will pick up the PDF only if it is
cheap enough for me to get both the PDF and print copy. I still don't
have Blood Over Gold, for example, since I don't plan to buy the PDF.
The exception to this is the "Prefinished Works" series, which are
just as good - and expensive - if printed on my work place's laser
printer and bound a local print shop. That way I get the best of both
worlds.
