Large wooden chest against one wall as well (I couldn't even see that at all until I played about with the image to enhance the brightness); looks fairly strong, so while it could just be a chest for clothing or the like, it might equally well hold something more valuable. Which, again, suggests you're right about this being somewhere high status.

It also strikes me that the fact there's two spears by the door may be significant. This isn't an armoury, so somebody has probably stacked them there recently. They aren't with the other weapons, which suggests to me that there are (or were until recently) at least two other people in the room - excluding anyone who we'd expect to be unarmed, of course.

yes.... I can't really tell on this screen, but it looks the wrong shade to be wine, and it's flowed like something thicker.

The enhanced brightness image makes that look more likely, I have to say...
