Questlines 1:

The Balmyr are listed as part of the Wilmskirk confederation and are noted as having a population of 7000 in 1610 and 9500 in 1621. This is largely adults and so it seems they didn't take part in Starbrow's revolt and weren't punished for it. No other events for them are listed.

They entered Dragon Pass with ten clans and settled pretty much where they are now. I suppose they grew rich on the tolls that exacted from other tribes to pass through their territory, although the erstwhile Dundealos was strong enough to "collect plunder". There might have been a feud with the Dundealos over this but:

  1. it was a long time ago and could have been resolved since then in the days of the Kingdom of Sartar, but then again it might not have been).
  2. the Dundealos are no more in 1621, having been replaced by the Enstalos tribe after a revolt in 1618. The Balmyr might have given support to the Lunars in crushing the revolt as revenge.

They are probably kicking themselves over the refusal to aid Enjossi's quest to bring the Salmon back to the stream. I imagine they are cursed in not being able to catch salmon there.

The Dragon Pass mapboard has Roundstone Fort in their lands, which is off the beaten path for some odd reason. Perhaps the Balmyr King refused to allow Sartar's road to pass through his capital? Caroman Village that does lie on the road probably belongs to the Balymr. In light of its strategic importance (it controls the road between Wilmskirk and Boldhome), the village might now be controlled by Lunars.
