How do people go about getting rid of Disease Spirit possession in HQ? Also, how does a Shaman attack or destroy other spirits - what ability does he use?
Here's my situation:
In my game, one character has been possessed by a Pain Spirit. The party are on their way to the local spirit-talker to see what can be done. He's a Kolati shaman.
Is there a standard Shamanic way of combating spirits? Can a Shaman (or even a practitioner) use Spirit Face to actively go and attack a spirit possessing a body, and destroy it / drive it out? Most of the abilities I'm seeing imply the spirit is the one doing the attacking, not the shaman.
Also, as a side question: if my shaman goes and befriends a healing spirit, does he have to bind it into a fetish in order to get it to do something for him? And, if so, does he have to "Release" it from the fetish in order for it to attack the a Disease Spirit (for example), or can it do this whilst still in the fetish, with the Shaman using its Exorcise Disease Spirit as one of his own abilities (HQp137).
I'm pretty sure I can "wing" my way through this, but I'm wondering if there is something in the rules I'm missing.
