The investigative mystery genre is ideally suited for rules like HeroQuest and the setting is fantastic! I strongly recommend it (especially for residents of the Pacific Northwest - unlike a lot of splat location books done for various genres, Charles definitely knows the Portland area and uses the urban folklore in the book - besides I always knew there were vampires near Seaside).
