Its something that's not done anymore, IIRC. But it was done in the past. My own take is that its a 'custom we did in the past and don't like to talk about'

I don't know about Ralios. I think that the Exiles have degenerated enough to practice it -- they're such a bunch of savages. But currently, I don't think that the more organized places like Sartar or Heortland or Tash practice that sort of custom -- other than taking the head of a powerful foe but thats probably only done to non-Orlanthi enemies (lunar scum and soulless sorcerers). Headtaking might be a matter of course against undead (if they can't be destroyed by fire first) but that's more a simple precaution.

I did like Nick's "Fox King" story a lot -- it talkes about Headhunting in a rather amusing way. (Okay, so itc has foxes in it)
