Olive Oil

A recent mention of oil lamps sent me back to Lyndsey Davis' Falco novel, A Dying Light in Cordoba. In an early scene a merchant lists all the many ways olive oil is used in the Roman Empire, and over the rest of the book she manages to work every one of them into the plot.

Where would olives or their equivalent be grown in Glorantha? Not in Dragon Pass, but the Lunar climate as magically moderated might be suitable. Maybe one of the tools of Lunar missionaries is to persuade people of the advantages of vegetable oil for lighting and cooking?

Andrew
