This is just the sort of thing that the list is for. Glad to help.

85% might not be Durev House holder but I get your drift.

Possible -- but you are forgetting Divine Aid and that works based on your Devotion level, I think. And there's always going to be some old bugger who's holier-than-thou. But, if not, then its the perfect time for the Our Heroes to Do Their Stuff -- perhaps a quick heroquest is in order or something like that. Since they don't know the regular ceremonies, what would be a trivial exercise for Arvi Crankytoes the Goddi is a tough night in the HeroPlane for the heroes... and the village is saved! (hurrah!)

That's possible but the problem is this: He's a four-ways spirit-talker and we're six-ways god-talkers. We MIGHT be able to help him with sacrifice and such if we get so badly hurt that we can't do it ourselves, but usually Kolating are used for dealing with 'bad winds' that normal goddi can't control (Kolatings and urrani-winds and such...) or spirits that we don't understand.

Divine Aid, Heroquesting by brave PC Heroes (best option, IMHO) and maybe a kolating helping if all else fails. Calling on the Spirits is a desperate thing. Most of the Kolat spirits are wind, not rain.

Most of the local stuff would be daimonies (check the archives for Plastic Otherworlds topic for Greg's input on that subject)

Year Stag might be a spirit and would recieve misapplied worship, though I understand Odayla's cult is quite strange compared to most. VERY strong shamanistic element.

No. They are the 'men's deities' of the Earth Tribe. There are just a lot of them, rather than most men in mainstream Orlanthi society worshipping... Orlanth.

No, it has not. But, I would point out that the Esrolian "pantheon" IS unwieldly. That's why they have an annual contest for Year Husband. The Garhound Contest is very esrolian but re-cast into a Heortling/Sartari mold. The Garhounds have managed to keep many of the really old "Old Earth" religious practices intact (though they don't sacrifice the Year King at the end of the year, thankfully)

Um. Not really. They are a set of cults that provide the men with magic. And each year, the strongest one of these cults takes the role of husband to the Queen of the Earth. Other husbands might find other roles.

Competition is the thing....

Why YES. That's exactly it. And that's the way the Esrolian Queens _want_ it.

Yes, Orlanth Thunderous would be the most likely version for his sweet, fertile rains and lustful thunder!
