Nice to see this thread still going.

At the weekend I happened to be walking up on the hills and found myself looking down into a river valley and thinking just how big it looked. I counted approximately 8 villages/hamlets plus numerous fields and wooded areas. When I got home I looked the valley up on the map and found to my surprise that it was only about 20 square miles in area. It is very easy to look at maps and forget just how big the real area of land is. I can easily believe that a clan of close to 1000 people would only need an area of 50 square miles for its Tula. Even allowing for a buffer zone of 1-2 miles between neighbouring clans and areas of unused/unclaimed land such as elf woods and you still get an area far smaller than the one quoted in Thunder Rebels.

I would definitely recomend going with the figures from the clan generator as being much more realistic.

Even a greedy clan that takes far more land than it needs will have a hard time patrolling and keeping such a vast area as TR claims.

Just my 2 cents again.
