And if your god is defeated and can't mainifest, what then? If you god-talkers are crucified and dead, who teaches the children? And if a clan that DOES embrace the New Way is given power and authority over others and prospers at the expense of the tradtionalists... who will have more children?

Never underestimate the human power of treachery and opportunity. Never underestimate the human desire to Have Their Children Survive.

Maybe. If they have priests and goddi to do it.

I don't think you're thinking in the right time-frame. Tash has been under the thumb of the empire for well over a century. That's five generations or more. Sartar's only been subject to the Lunars for one and already they are starting to feel the bite.
