Moose. Dead moose. Dead moose that fell down a flooded mine-shaft and sank to the bottom. Dead moose that stayed down there all winter. Dead moose that _exploded_ when a rock fell down through the water and hit the bloated carcass.
The huge 'bubble' that hit the surface about 2 minutes was right out of Malia's 'armpit'....
