When I drew the Dagori Inkarth map I wasn't going to add a scale on it. I had found that the scale used in Troll pack, which is also close to AH's 'Genertela, CotHW' Genertela's map scale, seemed too small. Everything was within easy walking distances (if you could get past the Uz that is!). The distance between Herongreen and Alone for example was only 24 Km (keymiles, what ever distance that is compared to the walking tread of a typical Hoertling.)
I did add that scale on though when I did the full colour version of the map but I think I will change it to a more realistic scale (in an imaginary world?!?? :-0 ) when/if the map gets published on its own. That will mean the other maps will be out of sync.
The Sartarite Tribal territory maps I am doing of at the moment, working out from the towns to cover the whole Tula have a better scale to them and will now fit in well.

The main things that is missing though from most maps are comprehensive Gazetteers.

Cheers
