Texas... Shmexas! There are far more important things to discuss that affect our world, and match Julian's criterion of "long and corkscrewily arrant Duck-loving nonsense". Though this brand of 'ducklove'  is just... wrong.

This is another 'Ducks on Tangency' pick, the most horrid, bizarre ducklore I've yet found (but then I forgot to scan in the Nature article on the hideously complex hydrodynamics of duck flippers):
