Having grown up in Texas and gone to school in
California, the coldest winter I ever spent was a
summer in Northern Ireland. I dunno if it was normal.
It was about 1992 or so. I had packed only a light
jacket. It rained and got down to just above
freezing. It was actually nicer there the previous
spring and the succeeding fall.
