All in one country? Good grief. I thought our by-laws were bad enough. Most of them are merely archaic and quirky (and ignored) rather than a different system.

(In many Welsh/English border towns, it is still legal if not actually mandatory to shoot any Welshman seen within the walls after dark. With your longbow. And there are places that still have compulsory archery practice, too.)
