You have to admit, though, the "Quisling campaign" would be pretty interesting, especially as the tide turns. Playing the people that are commonly identied as bad guys is a lot of fun.

In Sandy's campaign, we played a surviving bunch of ancestor worshippers whose homeland had been nuked by vile sorcerers, turning the rest of its inhabitants into angry ghosts and other undead. Everyone else in the world believed we worshipped undead -- which was sort of true. So, they all figured we were horrible villains and sent crusades of goodness and light from Loskalm to wipe us out. We saw that as genocide, so we fought back with all the tactics at our disposal, such as "zombie in the well" and skelebees. (Ask me at Tentacles.) That reaffirmed their opinion that we were horrible villains, and so on.

The point is: it was LOTS of fun to be "bad". Being the quislings -- looked down upon by Lunars and despised by Orlanthi -- would be really challenging. The GM would need to know a lot about the lunar politics, though.

<IGQ-obligatory>The only problem is that, to be a quisling, you'd have to be half-red. And I'm not joining you card-carrying pinkos.</IGQ-obligatory>
