I've heard that during the first gulf war fewer Americans forces there died, to all causes, than the average rate during peace time from accidents.

I think the current Iraq conflict was the first conflict since Vietnam to have more Americans die from enemy action than from friendly fire. (Geneda, Panama, Somalia, Gulf I, Afghanistan . . . .) That just shows how deadly we are. We even Greg ourselves.
