Up to that part, we're in agreement. All of that can make interesting challenge for characters if they want to deal with it, but is relatively easy to sidestep if you don't want to bother. I would add a couple of points, though; being pregnant is no harder to deal with for a warrior than a serious wound that keeps you from battle (though it probably is harder to convince the chief to care for a pregnant warrior than a wounded one, there are resources for caring for incapacitated warriors); and Vingans may often be warriors, but they aren't always - so even if warriors can't aford to be pregnant, that doesn't mean no Vingan can.
However, when you say it courts divine punishment from Vinga to get pregnant (because she did, and it got her in trouble), then you cross a line. It is now impious (rather than merely difficult to deal with) for a Vingan to get pregnant, and that is much harder for PCs to work around. It also goes against Storm Tribe, which states that women who die in childbirtha are welcome in the Red Headed Lodge after death. THAT's where the problem lies.
Religiously, initiation to Vinga doesn't prepare a woman for

Oh yes, I know that. The whole Vingan=lesbian thing has been taken way further than anything actually suggested; and again, I agree in principle.
