Alas, we don't really get to do that here (the rain apart). I don't really do stout (or affectations toward Irishness), so St Patrick's Day is out. There was someone who always used to go out on St George's Day, but he was a mad Unionist, so I ... er ... kind of gave that one a miss. Maybe the Queen's Birthday and the Trooping of the Colour with a glass of sherry?

Mind you, we did drink rum (and probably grog) on the anniversary of Trafalgar. Not the bicentenary, mind, but the 198th anniversary. Just to be different. And before that, I think we might have drunk to the centennial glory of Omdurman. Just to take the piss.
