Since I still don't seem to have got an answer to this one, despite asking five times now, perhaps I'll try rephrasing again:

  1. Let us assume that I accept the depiction of Kallyr and her followers as people who, on occasion, carry out atrocities such as the massacres of the women and children of pro-Lunar clans.
  2. Let us further assume that the player characters in my game are not (yet) influential enough to form their own significant faction in the Rebellion - i.e. they need some sort of sponsor on the level of Gryffyr, Orngerin, et. al.
  3. Finally, let us assume that the players in my group do what I would do under the circumstances, and fight against anyone who commits atrocities, rather than supporting them for the Greater Good of defeating the Lunars.

Given all of these assumptions, which rebel faction should I, as GM, prompt them to join? Who, for example, would take the sponsor role in 'Sheep, Clouds, Thunder'? Elmalandti? Minaryth? Somebody else?
