In my occasional thoughts on Caladraland, I've had the locals depict Heler as the 'Crying God'. Rainfall is heavy there (c.f. RQ Companion), and I think a lot is orogenic precipitation. Not in the normal way, but because the clouds get hotter (not colder) as the Winds drive them up towards the volcano gods' mouths. Many local tribes think the clouds weep in discomfort at the great Heat. (Some think they sweat, or even piss themselves in fear.)

There are other phenomena, but that tends to be the most common association.

I don't think so many folks worship him directly, 'cos 'e's a big girl's blouse. Crybaby.
