Five Things wot I learnt from Gloranthan World building...
  1. The more you merciously rip off Real World mythology and the more you try to pass it off as your own work, the more obvious it becomes.
  2. Collaborative World Building isn't.
  3. You can use the exercise of World building to get as far as possible to get away from actually playing the Game and instead travel so far up your own anus to the point where you no longer see the light of day.
  4. You can use World Building to alienate potential players, in a very permanent and vitriolic way.
  5. Its always amusing to watch/read grown men argue over the detail of a made up fantasy world. It never gets tedious or old :P
