I'm not entirely sure, but I do know, from experience,
that the amount of magic that you put into trading in
the sacred time affects it. In other words, if you
have been putting 2 points in each year, and have
maximum trade routes, then put only one point in for
whatever reason, you will probably get notice that one
of your trade routes has collapsed.
