This are not Gloranthan answer, rather answers based upon viking society, or rather the sagas about viking society. The society in KODP have many similarities to a viking society.

>If thrall's children are free, who raises them?

In part their parents, in part the question is moot because people lived in large families in houses.

>Are they raised as thralls?

Nope. They get to do the same thing as the cottars/carls children.

>are they raised away from their thrall

Fosterparents is a big part of viking society, only people of high class ie nobles have fosterparents.

>Can a thrall marry a free person?

No, never. He can however be freed - usually as a a return favour for working harder than usual or doing something extraordinary - and then marry.
You would never marry outside your class. In fact if a king married a common woman, she would be his concubine, not wife.
