Ahhh that's the obvious thing I was missing. I was using the default
crop set up of something like 20% wheat 20% rye 60% barley. Guess the
yield on wheat for a good crop year is much better than barley so I
wasn't getting the surplus during normal years like I needed to
support my growth.

Got me far enough to realize the hard way to stay the heck away from
eurmal's heroquest, I didn't need those two eurmal whorshippers
anyway =) Next time I'll try feeding a few orlanthi worshippers to
eurmal, got a surplus of them =p
